DOG BLESS TEXAS
Sassi and I flew home to visit my family in Houston at the end of August. I had been planning a baby shower for my Brother and Sister-in-law for a few months and it was set for Sunday, August 27th. I arrived earlier that week, and unfortunately not long after, so did Hurricane Harvey. My family's house is located in Cypress, Texas, a suburb right outside of Houston. We lost power for a short while and surrounding streets flooded us in, however, we only suffered the short end of the stick. Hurricane Harvey, as well as the storms following in its path (Irma, Jose, and Maria), brought destruction & total devastation to say the very least. My heart still breaks for those who lost their lives in these travesties. To my fellow Hollywoofers, you know that Sassi as well any furry friend will always be considered family to me. When buckling down for the storm, we made sure to take proper precautions to protect Sassi and my parent's two dogs, Bella & Yogi. Sadly, not all animals had that luxury. Countless animals lost their habitats or homes and were displaced from their humans. Thanks to organizations like The Houston SPCA, Humane Society, and several others, many were rescued and given a second chance.
While the storm may have passed, the aftermath leaves a chilling reminder of what damage was done. Please continue to give your love and support to the areas affected by these natural disasters.
In the past few weeks, we have witnessed a Hurricane in Texas, Wildfires & an Earthquake in California. We can't always predict Mother Nature, but we can be proactive and readily prepared.
Here are a few precautions to take for you and your fur baby:
It is also suggested that you have a minimum of 3 gallons of clean water available for each member of the household. I have a storage cabinet filled with such, as well as non perishable foods, batteries, flashlights, etc.
Safety is NO JOKE but, in these trying times it is also important to find the silver lining and rejoice in any ounce of sunshine that comes after the rain. My home-state has and always will be TEXAS STRONG!

After postponing the baby shower, we were finally able to come together the next weekend and celebrate the newest member of the family. Congrats to Landon & Alexandria! Prince James William II
is expected to make his grand debut mid October... so it was only appropriate that we throw
A ROYAL BABY SHOWER BALL IN HIS HONOR.
Thank you to Classy Cameo Couture for our adorable ensemble!
I will definitely be wearing this the first time I hold him. Alexsis makes custom apparel for any occasion. Check out her website for more adorable designs! She was so sweet and willing to accommodate any request. I will definitely be getting me and Sassi matching outfits from her soon!
Pictured Above: My gorgeous mama! She made this whole shower possible. James is gonna have the coolest Auntie & Mimi ever.
Special shout-out to Katy Yoder! She runs a party decor business and supplied us with these
BALLOON BOUQUETS FIT FOR A PRINCE!
She is based in Los Angeles, CA but still helped me plan a Texas sized shower!
The blue hue assortment really tied everything together and the giant gold prince crown statement balloon was the cherry on top! Speaking of cherries, check out the slideshow below of some of the yummy treats we snacked on during the festivities.

Sassi is the real MVP in her favorite sport of Fetch, so it's no surprise that she enjoys any game that involves a tossing and chasing a ball. Sure, The US Open might be over and gone, but we still reminisce court-side at our neighborhood park.
I know it's been a blogless month, so I apologize and thank you for your patience! MISS HOLLYWOOF will pick right back up where we left off with weekly posts. As always, please subscribe and send us your feedback. We're always looking for new spots to check out here in LA! With The MLB World Series around the corner, and a Dodgers win this evening...we leave you with this...
See ya next week!
